Why I Started Break Chains // Build Purpose
Since releasing Something Only God Could Do, I’ve been overwhelmed by the messages and feedback I’ve received from readers.
I wrote the book to share my story honestly—the addiction, loss, depression, mistakes, faith, healing, and everything it took to begin rebuilding my life. But hearing how that story has connected with other people has been something I never expected.
Readers have shared messages like:
“Reading this book had me in tears at parts—so many emotions flowing.”
“Addiction can be hard to beat, but in the book he details the steps to beat it for anyone interested.”
“I have a hard time reading books but I could not put this one down. I loved it and it will help so many people struggling with alcohol and depression.”
Those words mean more to me than I can say.
But they've also made me realize that this conversation shouldn't end with the last page of a book.
Creating a Space to Break Chains and Build Purpose
That’s why I created Break Chains // Build Purpose.
It’s a Facebook community built around something I’ve learned firsthand: whatever you're going through, you don't have to go through it alone.
I want this to be a place where I can share resources, ideas, stories, and lessons that have helped me through addiction, depression, loss, recovery, and rebuilding my life.
It’s also a place to talk about the things we often have a hard time talking about.
The struggles we hide.
The mistakes we wish we could undo.
The moments when we know something needs to change but have no idea where to begin.
And, just as importantly, what happens afterward—when you're ready to break the chains of your past and start figuring out what you want your life to stand for.
You Never Know Who Needs to Hear It
My hope is that Break Chains // Build Purpose becomes more than a Facebook page.
I hope it becomes a source of encouragement for people who are struggling, healing, growing, rebuilding, or simply trying to figure out their next step.
Because sometimes one story, one conversation, or one message reaches us at exactly the right time.
If that sounds like something that resonates with you, I’d love to have you be part of it.
Follow Break Chains // Build Purpose on Facebook
And if you know someone who might benefit from the conversations we're having, please share the page with them.
You never know who might need to hear the right message at the right time.

Read Something Only God Could Do
If you haven’t read my story yet, you can find Something Only God Could Do: Finding Faith in the Wake of Addiction, Loss, and Survival on Amazon.
If you've already read it, I'd also be grateful if you'd take a moment to leave an Amazon review. Every review helps more people discover the book and, hopefully, helps this message reach someone who needs it.
